I'm Lalida, an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist offering a calm, safe space for adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck in their own head, or quietly struggling to feel "good enough." I work gently and thoughtfully and I help you make sense of what you're going through at your own pace.
I work with a wide range of difficulties, including:
- Anxiety, depression, panic, OCD
- Low self-esteem and low self-confidence
- Trauma and abuse (childhood, sexual, domestic)
- Relationship difficulties
- Family issues, grief, and loss
- Academic and student-related stress, including pressure to succeed, balancing cultural expectations, or adjusting to life in the UK or other countries
In our work together, we'll explore what has been difficult for you and what has brought you to therapy. We may focus on developing coping strategies to help you manage day to day, and when it feels right, we can also look beneath the surface. Not to find what is wrong with you, but to understand what has happened to you and how it has shaped the way you relate to yourself and others.
You will have a space that is calm, non-judgemental, and accepting. A space where you can slow down, breathe, and begin to heal in a way that feels right for you.
I hold an MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Derby, and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I have worked as a counsellor and psychotherapist in collaboration with a sexual abuse support charity, the NHS, and the Metropolitan Police Service in London.
I am originally from Bangkok, Thailand, and moved to the UK not long ago as a student. I know how challenging it can be to adapt to a new culture, manage different expectations, and navigate life in a new language. Feeling far from home or like you don't quite fit can affect how you experience yourself and relate to others.
