Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before booking a session with Reflection Room. By engaging our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.
Reflection Room is an online counselling and psychotherapy practice providing therapeutic services via video call. Our practitioners, Lalida Puengklai (MBACP Accred), Ash Sachdev (MBACP Registered), and Bua Khemacheva (RDMP, ADMP UK), are qualified therapists bound by the ethical frameworks of their respective professional bodies.
We can be contacted at reflectionroom.uk@gmail.com.
Reflection Room provides one-to-one online counselling and psychotherapy sessions conducted via Google Meet. Sessions are available in Thai, English, or a combination of both. All sessions are 50 minutes in duration unless otherwise agreed.
Our services are intended for individuals aged 18 and over. We do not currently offer couples therapy, group therapy, or crisis intervention services.
All new clients are required to complete an initial assessment session before ongoing therapy begins. The assessment session is 50 minutes and is charged at the standard session rate of £50. During this session, your therapist will assess your needs, explain the therapeutic approach, and discuss whether Reflection Room is a suitable fit for you.
The fee for each 50-minute session is £50. Payment is required by bank transfer prior to each session. Bank details will be provided following your initial enquiry.
Sessions will not commence until payment has been received. We do not accept card payments at this time.
We require a minimum of 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice will be charged in full. This applies regardless of the reason for cancellation.
If you are late to a session, the session will still end at the scheduled time. The full fee applies. If your therapist is late, equivalent time will be added or the fee adjusted accordingly.
All information shared within sessions is held in strict confidence. However, as members of BACP and ADMP UK, our therapists are bound by ethical and legal obligations to break confidentiality in specific circumstances, including:
Your therapist will discuss the full confidentiality agreement with you at the start of therapy.
Our therapists maintain professional boundaries at all times in accordance with BACP and ADMP UK ethical guidelines. Therapy is conducted solely via video call. No personal relationships, social media connections, or contact outside of the therapeutic relationship are permitted.
Reflection Room reserves the right to decline or discontinue services where we determine that our approach is not clinically appropriate for a client's needs. In such cases, we will endeavour to signpost appropriate alternative support.
We are not a crisis service. If you are in immediate danger, please contact emergency services (999) or the Samaritans (116 123, free, 24/7).
Sessions are conducted via Google Meet. You are responsible for ensuring you have a reliable internet connection, a private space, and a device with a camera and microphone. If a session is disrupted due to technical issues on your side, the session will be charged in full. If the disruption is on our side, we will reschedule at no additional cost.
Your therapist will maintain brief session notes as required by their professional body. These are stored securely and confidentially in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Records are retained for 7 years following the end of therapy, after which they are securely destroyed.
We are committed to providing a high standard of care. If you have a concern or complaint about any aspect of our service, please raise it directly with your therapist in the first instance, or contact us at reflectionroom.uk@gmail.com.
If your concern is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may contact our practitioners' professional bodies directly:
Reflection Room's therapists are qualified professionals who provide services in good faith. However, therapy is not a substitute for medical treatment, and we cannot guarantee specific outcomes. We accept no liability for decisions made by clients as a result of their engagement with our services, beyond our professional duty of care.
