Questions we often hear.
If you don't find your answer here, please don't hesitate to get in touch. There are no wrong questions.
There is no need for any formal preparation. Just bring yourself and a heart ready to explore. Your first appointment is an Assessment session, designed as a gentle space for us to get to know one another. It is an opportunity for you to share what you are currently facing or any worries weighing on your mind. We will explore which therapeutic approach best resonates with your needs. Please don't worry about finding the right words or explaining things perfectly.
While we specialise in bridging the gap for the Asian and Thai communities in the UK, our space is open to everyone. We welcome individuals from all backgrounds, cultures, and identities. We believe that everyone deserves a therapist who respects their unique story without judgment. If you are looking for a safe, empathetic, and professional environment to grow, you are welcome here.
Our fee is £50 for a 50-minute session. We believe in transparent pricing so you can plan your wellness journey without surprises.
At this time, we accept payment via Bank Transfer only. Payment must be completed prior to the session to secure your booking. Details will be provided after you fill out our inquiry form.
We operate entirely online via secure video calls. This is the ultimate privacy tool: no waiting rooms, no being seen by others, and you can access care from the comfort of home anywhere in the UK.
No. While offloading helps, therapy is a structured process for long-term change. Like physical therapy, real results come from consistent sessions, not a single visit. We usually recommend a commitment of 6–12 sessions.
Therapy is a partnership, not a passive treatment. We provide the tools and a safe space, but your role is to be open and committed to the process. We work on the change together.
Western therapy often misses the nuances of family duty or "saving face." We understand your background, so you don't have to spend sessions explaining your culture. While we specialise in Asian cultural nuances, our doors are open to everyone who wants to be understood.
Yes. While being considerate is a virtue, it shouldn't lead to burnout. We help you find the balance between honouring your heritage and protecting your own mental peace.
A therapist is a neutral professional. In small communities, talking to friends can feel risky. We provide a "boundary-safe" zone where you can be honest without fear of judgment.
Yes. What you share in your sessions stays between you and your therapist. However, there are specific legal and ethical exceptions under UK law known as Safeguarding. We are required to break confidentiality only if we believe there is a serious risk of harm to you or to others, or if required by a court of law. This is part of our Duty of Care.
Absolutely not. Confidentiality is our highest priority and a legal requirement in the UK. Your sessions are a private, discreet space.
As part of our commitment to your safety, we require one emergency contact. This information is kept strictly confidential and is never used to report your sessions to family; we would only contact this person in an extreme medical or safety emergency.
Safeguarding is a UK framework to protect vulnerable individuals. GDPR ensures your personal data is stored in a secure, encrypted system. You have the right to request to see your data at any time.
